The Camas Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival was fabulous! The celebration started late Thursday night when a group of guerrilla yarn artists bombed the Downtown with yarn, setting the scene for a creative weekend. First Friday welcomed families to see the over 100 quilts and fiber art projects entered in the show. Along with voting for their favorite, families got to participate in make and take crafts, see a free form crochet display, talk with internationally known quilter Barbara Chapel and make quilt squares for charity. All these great activities continued on Saturday, along with a trunk show by reknown doll maker elinor peace bailey, a free form machine quilting demo while volunteers made charity cat beds and more!
Special thanks to Craft Warehouse & River Quilts for sponsoring the event! Thanks to all those who entered their beautiful creations. And thanks to all the volunteers who worked very hard to make this event such a success!
