The 2nd Annual Recycled Art Festival showcases locally produced art, made from at least 85% recycled materials. Capture Camas Photo Contest launches too!
Our town’s very own specialty art gallery, Ballard and Call, will feature several local artists at the Recycled Arts Festival. Darren Venhuis recycles wine barrels into serving and display pieces and repurposes the lids into Lazy Susans; Rob Wurzer yields attractive creative art in the form of a a whole family of metal turtles from treasures found in local wrecking yards.
Each person attending the festival who visits a majority of the artists can enter to with a raffle basket full of goodies from downtown merchants. A People’s Choice award will be bestowed on one of the artists. The Downtown Camas Association would like to thank the generous sponsors of this event (Waste Connections, Journey Community Church, and Georgia Pacific), all of whom will have booths providing educational activities for both children and adults.
